Peanut clusters, waiting to cool. |
Peanut clusters are ridiculously easy to make. All you need is some chocolate and some peanuts. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler (or very carefully in a saucepan or microwave-safe bowl), add the peanuts, stir, drop the chocolate covered peanuts by the spoonful on wax paper or a baking sheet and then let the clusters cool. That's all I did. This
recipe calls for candy coating and this
recipe from Hershey's uses shortening. You can add ingredients as you see fit, but really, all you need is chocolate and peanuts.
And, hey! This is a day that's perfectly timed, since March is also National Peanut Month!
